We already knew that Catwoman would appear in

Batman Arkham City

, but we didn’t really know much beyond that.  Now, we do.
Not only will Catwoman appear (and by appear, we mean totally visible with no mask) in

Batman Arkham City

, but she’ll actually be a playable character.
Throughout the course of the game, you’ll take on sequences where you control Catwoman instead of Batman.  She’ll level up throughout the game just as Batman does, and she’ll even have her own set of abilities.  She has no cape so she can’t glide, but she’ll have her own set of abilities to make up for that.  From the video we’ve embedded, we knew she’ll be able to slide, able to use her claws, and able to use her whip similarly to Batman’s grappling hook.  Beyond that, we’ll leave it to your imagination for now, though more details about it will surely be released as the game approaches its release date.

Batman Arkham City

Have you gotten used to the voice of Harley Quinn?  It makes sense if you have, since Arleen Sorkin has been doing her voice since the character was created in the early 90′s, including her role as Harley in Batman Arkham Asylum.

But all of that is about to change.  Sorkin has announced that she will not be reprising her role as Harley in Batman Arkham City.  No reason was given, though there does not appear to be any ill-will.

We have official word on what the bat signal is for and how it is used in Arkham City.
